Croydon set to be election battleground

Croydon is host to one of London's tightest contests for control of the town hall.

Since 2006, Labour and the Conservatives have battled for control of the borough, and with local elections on 22 May political parties have stepped up their campaigning.

BBC London's political correspondent, Karl Mercer spoke to Conservative councillor Mike Fisher; Labour member Tony Newman; Liberal Democrat John Jefkins; Peter Staveley from UKIP and Chris Madel, from the London Communications Agency.
