World War One: Public urged to write unknown soldier letters

The public are being invited to imagine the contents of the letter the statue of an unknown soldier is reading.

The letters are being used to create a new war memorial for the statue, which stands on platform one at Paddington Station, in central London.

As part of commemorations to mark the centenary of the start of World War One, all the letters the soldier receives from people will be published on the 1418 Now website., external
