CCTV shows Alice Gross murder suspect Arnis Zalkalns

Charges would have been brought against Alice Gross murder suspect Arnis Zalkalns if he had lived, Scotland Yard says.

The body of Alice, 14, was found in the River Brent in west London on 30 September, after she went missing a month earlier.

The corpse of Latvian builder Zalkalns was found in Boston Manor Park, west London, on 4 October.

CCTV released from 28 August by the Metropolitan Police, shows Alice passing Brentford Lock at about 15:45 BST, Zalkalns passing Brentford Lock at about 16:00 BST, Alice passing Trumpers Way at about 16:26 BST - the last time she was sighted on CCTV - and Zalkalns emerging onto Hanwell Bridge/Uxbridge Road at 17:49 BST.
