London's cycle superhighway plan hits problem

A crucial part of the Mayor of London's plan to improve cycle safety in the capital has hit a major problem.

The Royal Parks has refused to allow a segregated bike lane to be built in front of Buckingham Palace.

The junction is considered one of the city's most dangerous and leaves Transport for London having to consider an alternative route.

BBC London's transport correspondent Tom Edwards spoke to the Mayor's cycling advisor, Andrew Gilligan, and Rosanna Downes from the London Cycling Campaign.
