Taxi-hailing app Uber does not break the law
The High Court has ruled that the taxi-hailing phone app, Uber, does not break the law.
Local government transport bosses in London wanted clarification as to whether it was illegal, because of claims it operated in the same way as the meters used by more strictly-regulated black cabs.
Uber, which is based in America, said the ruling was "great news for Londoners, and a victory for common sense."
Black cab drivers argue the phone app provides unfair competition.
