Ben Butler murder trial: Parents' 999 call as daughter 'lay dead'

An extract from the 999 phone call the parents of six-year-old Ellie Butler made allegedly two hours after she died has been played to jurors.

The prosecution allege that Jennie Gray and Ben Butler, both 36 and from Sutton in south-west London, made the call knowing that their daughter was already dead.

Mr Butler denies murder while Ms Gray has pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice.

They both deny a charge of child cruelty relating to an earlier incident when Ellie's shoulder was injured.
