Pride in London: Then and now

Thousands of people will go out onto the capital's streets this weekend in celebration of the LGBTQ+ community.

The event started out, back in the 1970s, as a protest for gay rights.

It has grown from a crowd of a few hundred to a million in the space of 45 years, but some say it should return to its roots and ditch the commercial element.
