Bungling Haringey jewellery shop robbers caught on CCTV
A man has been jailed for seven years and four months for snatching gold rings and earrings worth £21,000 in a jewellery heist caught on CCTV.
The robbery turned into a farce when the man and two others found themselves briefly trapped in Ital Gold, Haringey, by its automatic door-locking security system.
Andrew Elliot, 32, from Luton was eventually freed by an innocent passerby and later caught by police.
The rest of the gang is still at large.
