'Covid-19 means I can't hug my ill daughter'

The family of a disabled woman who lives in a care home say the pandemic has "robbed" them of time together.

Charlotte Clancy, 28, has Batten disease, a rare degenerative condition which affects her memory, speech, and motor skills.

She is also blind and lives in a care home where she receives specialist care.

But Covid restrictions mean her parents have been unable to visit during the lockdown.

The family are hoping a government pilot for rapid testing in care homes will be successful so the family can be reunited.
