Scroogelicious: A Christmas Carol gets a Peckham twist

It's not Christmas without a dose of a Charles Dickens classic, or more specifically A Christmas Carol.

But this year, a theatre in south-east London has given the story an inventive makeover by mixing the classic tale with local Peckham connotations.

Writer Geoff Aymer and director Suzann McLean highlight issues affecting today’s local communities such as gentrification, coffee-shop takeovers and the care crisis.
