Blackheath flooding: Residents rescued after burst main floods homes

Several homes in south-east London have been flooded and others left with no water or low pressure after a water main burst.

People were evacuated from six basement flats in Meadowcourt Road and Eltham Road in Blackheath after they were flooded to a depth of about 20cm.

One resident in the area, Adam Keeler, filmed the extent of the flooding around his home.

He told the BBC the inside of the building was like "a swimming pool" and called it an "awful start to the new year".
