London charity teaches parkour to help people with their mental health

A London charity said it was helping people with their mental wellbeing by teaching them parkour.

The sport sees participants attempt to get from one location to another in the fastest and most efficient way possible, without equipment and often while performing flips and jumps.

Esprit Concrete: FYI has been working across London to deliver a combination of parkour coaching and counselling to communities.

"We bring the couch therapy to the street," said Dr Kasturi Torchia, parkour coach and counselling psychologist.
