Boy finds practice bomb with his new metal detector

A seven-year-old boy using a metal detector he was given for Christmas found a WWII practice bomb on a common in Norfolk the first time he used it.

Sonny Carter found the device while out walking on Roydon Common, King's Lynn, with his parents Jem Carter and Tracy Wood, and brother Marley, nine.

The family took the bomb home but quickly called 999 when they realised what it was.
