Flood threat: Hundreds told to leave Norfolk homes

Hundreds of people have been told to leave their homes on the Norfolk coast as emergency services prepare for what is predicted to be the most serious tidal surge in 60 years.

Homes from Hunstanton to Great Yarmouth are being evacuated around the coast. Sightseers have been warned not to put themselves at risk.

At Wells-next-the-Sea the surge is expected to be between 1m and 1.8m. The nearby caravan park has already been evacuated and fishermen have moved their boats to the outer harbour.
