Cromer Christmas dip raises money for charity

Hundreds of people braved a bracing North Sea off the Norfolk coast on Boxing Day to take part in a traditional fancy dress dip to raise money for charity.

About 300 people plunged into the sea next to Cromer Pier to raise money for the Norfolk and Norwich Scope Association.

Clive Hedges, from the North Norfolk Beach Runners, who organised the dip said he hoped the event would raise about £2,000.

The annual dip has taken place in Cromer since 1985.
