Facebook appeal brings dozens to war veteran's funeral

Dozens of strangers, including a group of bikers, turned out for a war veteran's funeral after an appeal on Facebook.

The funeral of John Davies, 94, was held in Gorleston, near Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.

The social media campaign was launched after it transpired he had no relatives to attend the burial.

His hearse was escorted by a group of bikers, with some coming from Newmarket, in Suffolk, to join the procession.
