Welney Wetland Centre winter swan count under way
Wardens are busy counting thousands of migratory swans visiting a Norfolk wetland in a bid to get a clearer view of their numbers amid fears of a decline.
There are concerns the number of birds flying to the UK from Arctic Russia has been falling over recent years.
Now rangers and volunteers at the Welney Wetland Centre site are carrying out a census to get a clear picture of the winter swan population.
