BBC Rewind: Norwich hospital chimney demolished in seconds

Archive footage captured the moment a controlled explosion demolished a former hospital's 200ft (61m) chimney.

The structure at the old Norfolk and Norwich Hospital was reduced to rubble in about 10 seconds in August 2003.

It was a noticeable feature of Norwich's skyline for nearly 40 years and people gathered to watch it topple.

There is much more archive footage from the East of England on BBC Rewind, external.
