World War Two shell is detonated on beach in Norfolk

The moment an unexploded shell from World War Two was detonated on a beach has been captured on video.

The footage was taken by photographer Gary Pearson at the eastern end of Scolt Head Island in north Norfolk on Wednesday.

An Army ordnance disposal team from Colchester was called when a member of the public found the device.

A cordon was put up and a controlled explosion carried out.
