Kettering's battle to beat downturn recognised

Initiatives to revitalise Kettering's high street have been recognised with a nomination for a national award.

The Northamptonshire town decided to go into battle to beat the economic downtown after failing to win a place as a Portas Pilot town supported by the co-called Queen of Shops, Mary Portas.
