Defibrillator in former Normanton-on-Soar phone box

Residents of a Nottinghamshire village have discovered a novel way of preserving their village phone box as well as save lives.

People living in Normanton-on-Soar raised £1,700 to install a defibrillator inside a disused phone box.

The county council helped pay for the device, which is securely locked with a code needed to access it.

BBC East Midlands Today's Carol Hinds spoke to villagers and the Community Heartbeat Trust about the initiative.
