Lindsey Inger: A widower calls for tram site footbridge
The widower of a woman who died at the same tram crossing where a 13-year-old girl from Nottinghamshire was killed on Wednesday, says he cannot understand why a footbridge was never built.
Laurence Hoggart's wife Jean and his grandson were hit by a train on the rail side of the Moor Bridge crossing in 2008.
Teenager Lindsey Inger from Bullwell was with friends when she was fatally injured. They said it was "extremely dark" at the time so they did not see or hear the tram approaching.
