Warsop woman, 89, waits eight hours for ambulance call
An 89-year-old woman who has cancer and arthritis waited eight hours for the ambulance service to call her back after falling at her home on Boxing Day.
Joan Snaith, who lives in Warsop, Nottinghamshire, used her emergency buzzer to alert her son to her fall, prompting him to call for an ambulance.
Her son, Alan Snaith, said East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) told him there was a waiting list.
He said EMAS then called back eight hours later to see if his mother was still on the floor.
EMAS said it was investigating what happened.
