Laura Knight exhibition at National Portrait Gallery
Nottingham artist Dame Laura Knight is the subject of a new exhibition at The National Portrait Gallery.
The artist, who was born in Long Eaton in 1877 and raised in Nottingham, was the first female artist to become a dame in 1929.
She was famous for painting ballerinas, as well as depicting the role of women in World War II.
The exhibition runs until 13 October.
