Nottingham sees £60m council house scheme begin
One of the biggest council house building programmes since the 1960s is under way in Nottingham.
Over the next four years, 350 new homes for rent are planned for sites around the city.
The programme will cost £60m and the first phase has just been officially begun.
Alex Ball, in charge of Housing & Regeneration at the Labour controlled city council, said the traditional council house was coming back into fashion.
