Water shoots over houses in Beeston after pipe damaged

Footage has been captured showing water spraying metres into the air after a pipe was damaged during building work.

About 10 properties and nearby streets were flooded after the damage to the main near an area on Gwenbrook Avenue and Lime Grove Avenue in Beeston on Tuesday.

Nottingham Express Transit (NET) said there were no tram services between Toton Lane and University Boulevard.

Passengers can use tickets and passes on Orange line buses.

A Severn Trent spokesperson said: "A third party has caused damage to one of our larger pipes as they were working on a building site in Beeston. Our teams are continuing to work in the area to minimise disruption."
