Oxford Lord Mayor's 'sexy remark was misheard'

The Lord Mayor of Oxford has said reports he made a remark towards a 13-year-old girl using the word "sexy" are down to a misunderstanding.

Alan Armitage has been reprimanded by Oxford City Council following the incident which it said breached its code of conduct.

But Mr Armitage called the ruling "unfair" and said he was misheard by witnesses.
