TV news hosts Nick Owen and Bob Warman back at school

Two long-serving news presenters on competing TV channels have gone back to their school for a reunion, 60 years after both starting there aged seven.

BBC Midlands Today's Nick Owen and ITV News Central's Bob Warman first attended Kingsland Grange school, in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, in September 1955.

They have remained friends ever since being reunited as journalists on the Birmingham Post and Mail and later together on ATV - the former name for ITV in the Midlands.

One of Nick Owen's old school reports said: "He is capable of much greater effort and should realise that he must exert himself more at present if he is going to be successful in the future."
