Five-year-old Harry competes in Transplant Games thanks to new liver from dad

A five-year-old boy who received part of his father's liver is 'competing' in the British Transplant Games - with dad.

Harry Maceachen, from Shrewsbury, was born with a rare liver disease and had a transplant on his first birthday, but he needed another due to "a very rare mechanical failure".

Step in dad Simon who became a living donor for his son when no suitable match was found.

Harry said of the event: "I can't wait to do lots of races and win some medals."
