Parents open pub to pay daughters' tuition fees

Two families from Shropshire have bought a pub to help pay for their daughters to go to university.

Amelia Thompson and Pollyanna Taylor are due to collect their A-level results tomorrow.

But with the average cost of university now more than £20,000 a year per person, their parents decided to put their savings into the Platform Ale House, Albrighton.

They hope to make a profit and provide work for the girls in the holidays.
