Busy time for beekeepers as swarm found in village
A beekeeper has been kept busy by removing a swam of bees in Shropshire.
Alison Wakeman, who runs Alison's Bee Class in Telford, was asked to take care of the swarm discovered in Quatt, near Bridgnorth.
After a delicate removal, she took them to the National Trust's Dudmaston Hall, where she already keeps bees.
"I will pop over to Dudmaston on Wednesday and start to feed them syrup," Alison said.
"And, after two weeks, will inspect them, search for the queen, catch her and mark her."
