'Hero' bin crew help pupils stranded by flooding in Shropshire
A crew of refuse workers used their bin lorry to help school children who were left stranded by floodwater.
The team have been dubbed "local heroes" after a brook burst its banks in the Shropshire village of Diddlebury, and swamped roads.
It meant parents and carers were unable to collect their children from Corvedale Church of England Primary School.
Using their vehicle, the crew helped the pupils cross the flood waters.
