Around the world on a unicycle for Somerset student

A student from Somerset is in training for what he claims will be the first around the world unicycle trip.

Ed Pratt, 19, from Curry Rivel, near Taunton, is due to set off on 14 March on an 18,000-mile (29,000 km) round the world cycle ride - on one wheel.

He will carry all his gear and expects the journey, which will raise money for charity, to take about 18 months.

Mr Pratt is currently riding 350 miles (560 km) from Somerset to Lancashire as he practices for the challenge.
