Bell-ringing couple's combined 150 years at Taunton church

A couple from Taunton have celebrated a combined 150 years of ringing bells at their church in Taunton.

Margaret and Dennis Whatmore, who met during World War Two and married in 1947, said their role was a "never-ending challenge".

Dennis, 92, started when he was 13 while Margaret, who turns 92 on Friday, only started learning when she was 19.

They conceded there had been "a few arguments about who could ring the most changes" over the years.
