'End of an era' as cider jobs lost in Somerset
The loss of 40 jobs at Shepton Mallet Cider Mill has been described as the "end of an era".
Cider production at the company, which made Blackthorn, Olde English, Addlestones and Natch, will move to Ireland.
Owners C&C Group said consolidating production at its Clonmel site was "the only viable option, external to maintain long-term competitiveness".
Unless a buyer comes forward the Somerset site will close at the end of the summer.
