Family's 12-hour travel ordeal to get to Glastonbury Festival

A Bristol family of five spent more than 12 hours in the car before finally arriving at the gates to Glastonbury Festival.

Mum Sarah, her three children and her mother set off from home at 19.30 BST on Tuesday and quickly arrived near Shepton Mallet just a few miles from the festival site.

The car then joined a long line of queuing traffic and the family did not move again until 05.30 BST.

The festival-goers took a risk on finding a better route and finally arrived on site more than 12 hours after setting off.
