Capstone craned in to place on top of Wellington Monument
The capstone at the very top of a crumbling three-sided obelisk has been craned into place as mark of a makeover.
Work to complete a £3.45m revamp of the Wellington Monument in Somerset has been ongoing during the coronavirus pandemic.
It was closed off in 2005 due to falling debris with work to rescue the landmark due to be completed in spring 2021.
