Chard flooding: Raging river water devastates homes

"Raging" river water has devastated several homes and properties after heavy rainfall on Monday evening.

A torrent of water up to 4ft (1.2m) high struck houses near Chard in Somerset.

Avon Fire and Rescue said it received around 80 calls and two people had to be rescued by boat after their car got stuck on a flooded road.
