Yorkshire Wildlife Park welcomes rare giant anteater
A rare giant anteater has been settling into its new home at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park.
The 18-month-old animal, named Kounany, was moved to the park in Doncaster from Montpellier Zoo in France as part of a breeding programme.
The park said it hoped a male mate would join Kounany soon.
The animals are considered vulnerable by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and are equipped with a sticky tongue which can extend by 2ft (60cm).
