Skier James Woods backs Sheffield Ski Village plans

British freestyle skier James Woods has offered his support to return Sheffield Ski Village to its former glory.

The Sheffield-born Team GB athlete, who competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics, is one of a number of sports stars who would like to see the site brought back in to use as a snow sports centre after Sheffield City Council announced plans to redevelop the site.

In a video sent to the BBC from Colorado where he is competing, James said: "I more than happy to invest my time and energy into whatever needs to be done to bring back what it was."
