Parliament roof restored piece by piece over ten years
After ten years, repairs to the Houses of Parliament roof are nearing completion.
The painstaking project involved the removal of thousands of individual cast iron tiles weighing almost 65kg (143lbs) each.
They were then transported to a South Yorkshire workshop to be renovated by a team of specialist engineers.
Shepley Engineers in Sheffield said they have pushed their skills "to the next level" to help restore the historic ironwork.
