National Memorial Arboretum tribute to troops killed in 2012
The names of servicemen and women killed on duty in 2012 are to be engraved at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.
The 53 names carved into the Armed Forces Memorial will include those of 44 personnel killed in Afghanistan.
A service is due to be held later in the year.
BBC reporter Liz Copper spoke to stonemason Nick Hindle about the task, which is expected to take up to a month to complete.
He said: "These names are going on here forever and they are part of our British history."
