Two energy firms rule out fracking in the West Midlands

Two international energy companies have told the BBC they have ruled out fracking in the West Midlands.

The government says a new shale gas industry could lower energy bills and generate thousands of jobs.

But Sunday Politics in the Midlands has been told the geology of the West Midlands region prevents commercial drilling for shale gas.
