Fly-tipping maximum fine increases to £3m

The maximum fine for fly-tipping has been increased to £3m for companies and £95,000 for individuals.

Even low-level offending could attract fines of up to £10,000, and people who break the law could serve up to three years in jail.

Fly-tipping at the Enville estate near Stourbridge in Staffordshire is a weekly occurrence, according to estate managers.
