Shire horses head to Staffordshire for national show
Shire horses from across Europe are in Staffordshire hoping to impress a top judge.
Two hundred and fifty horses have entered the Shire Horse Society National Show, which is taking place from Friday until Sunday.
The highlight of the show, at Stafford Country Showground, is the presentation of the King George V cup to the most impressive stallion.
Judge Chris Malkin, from Market Drayton, said the role was "a tremendous honour".
