Stoke-on-Trent is hoping to become UK City of Culture in 2021.

The city is up against Coventry, Paisley, Sunderland and Swansea. All five are on the shortlist for the title, with the winner due be announced on the One Show, from 19:00 GMT on Thursday on BBC One.
