Diver escaped through window as boat sank off Lowestoft

A diver rescued from a sinking boat has recalled his escape through a window as water flooded the wheelhouse.

Ian Meers was among 11 people rescued by the Lowestoft lifeboat after their dive boat sank in minutes less than a mile off the Suffolk coast on Sunday.

The lifeboat was on a training run when it saw the boat in difficulty and went alongside.
