Thorpeness Meare: Villagers celebrate centenary

The Suffolk seaside holiday village of Thorpeness marked the centenary of the creation of its meare by raising a new flag and a glass.

The 60 acres of open water, inspired by Peter Pan and billed as a children's paradise, has been a playground for generations of holidaymakers.
