Suffolk PCC trims budgets but says 'no compulsory job cuts'

Suffolk Police and Crime Commissioner Tim Passmore has said he expects to deliver budget cuts without the need for compulsory redundancies.

He tells Susie Fowler-Watt that he hopes to cut £16m from the police budget through natural wastage and says a large number of staff are approaching retirement age.

Relations with Norfolk police remain "good" despite a planned merger of the two forces' control rooms falling through, he added.
