Terry Butcher recalls 1989 head wound from Sweden v England

Former England captain Terry Butcher thinks he will always be remembered for the head wound he sustained during a World Cup qualifying match in 1989.

The ex-Ipswich Town and Glasgow Rangers defender played on despite being injured during the goalless draw between England and Sweden in Stockholm on 6 September.

On a visit to BBC Suffolk in Ipswich, he said: "It was a very iconic match for me. I've still got the scar to prove it."
